3DMasterKit 9.0 — September 2017

What’s new:

  1. Automatic depth map generation for layers;
  2. Depth map editing in a third-party editor;
  3. Saving depth map to a file;
  4. Layer renaming;
  5. . psdd template file support, drag&drop support;
  6. Enhanced alignment marks generation function: the whole picture layout can fit the specified size;
  7. Page bleed for crop marks generation can be set;
  8. Encoding for up to 400 LPI.

3DMasterKit 8.1.2 – May 2017

What’s new:

  • .tiff and .jpeg files display in the Add frames window;
  • Multiview generation dialog is updated: ability to save manual frame calculation value and a separate frame number field for the Auto mode are added.

Fixed:

  • frame generation bug after importing from StereoTracer;
  • saving projects with layers;
  • program interface display with different screen resolutions.

 

3DMasterKit 8.0 – April 2017

New features:

  • Automatic mode of frame number calculation, when a multi-view frame series is generated, allows to get a better 3D effect;
  • Picture layout: alignment marks with advanced settings, dynamic centering marks, crop marks;
  • Alignment marks generation modes: 3D, Flip, Custom;
  • Dynamic marks defining the correct lens matching;
  • Crop marks;
  • Pitch-test generation into a PSB file;
  • Play/Stop frame animation with Space-bar;
  • Ability to lock the Crop Rect aspect ratio;

  • Interface fixes:
    Lenticular tab – drop-down list with resolution and pitch values, spin-arrows for numeric fields, mouse cursor changes in different modes (move, rotate, scale) in 64-bit versions, etc.

3DMasterKit 7.3 – November 2013

What’s new:

  • Pitch test dialog displays information on the size of the generated image;
  • Default file name format is changed;
  • The range of the valid LPI values is extended (0.1-300).

Fixed:

  • Pitch test dialog and Crop Rect dialog bugs;
  • Scaling instrument (scroll boxes are not reset to the middle of the scroll bar);
  • Resolution of files saved “from the screen”.

 

3DMasterKit 7.1 – May 2013

What’s new:

  • Compatibility with Windows 8;
  • The auto-alignment mechanism is considerably accelerated and enhanced;
  • The size limit is extended to 36 meters in 3DMasterKit Pro;
  • The transparency function is available for all 3DMasterKit configurations.

Fixed:

  • Pitch test generation to a PSB file;
  • Pitch test formats for different resolutions;
  • Frame export to AVI.

 

3DMasterKit 7.0 – March 2013

What’s new:

  • Image encoding with the side sizes of more than 30000 pixels (the PSB format intended for big files is used);
  • Transparency support for the source frames is updated. The encoded image keeps its transparency so that it is compatible with the 64-bit operating system;
  • 3DMasterKit Pro allows to encode pat-by-part;
  • When adding frames to the project, the auto-alignment algorithm works much better;
  • 64-bit version is adapted for Windows 8.

Fixed:

  • Layer positioning when generating a multilayer stereo above the existing frames;
  • The layers list is scrolled up when adding a depth map;
  • Software hang-up when attempting to align one of the frames being loaded;
  • Crop Rect malfunctioning;
  • Anaglyph stereo generation when the crop rectangle contains non-overlapping areas.

 

3DMasterKit 6.0 – November 2011

What’s new:

  • internal algorithms are considerably redeveloped: lenticular encoding and interpolation algorithms are enhanced;
  • software structure is changed so that it is compatible with a 64-bit operating system;
  • the program now exists in 2 variations: for 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

 

3DMasterKit 5.0 – April 2011

New functionality:

  • auto-alignment of frames to the first image of the series;
  • saving images that were aligned and generated out of layers together with the project. All the images are saved into the folder with the project file.

Fixed:

  • project saving.

What’s new:

  • new source frames control interface which is more plain and handy allows to choose the required segment of the source frame series for encoding;
  • enhanced method of depth map processing allows to get better quality;

3DMasterKit 3.7.1 – August 2009

What’s new:

  • Ability to quickly choose the preset values of the Crop Rect aspect ratio;
  • Indication of the image export operation progress;
  • Ability to quickly change the frame order in the Interlace tab.

Fixed:

  • Export of a big amount of images (more than 25);
  • Layer transparency changing when brightness is adjusted with the help of the histogram;

 

3DMasterKit 3.7 – May 2009

What’s new:

  • Lenticular encoding algorithm is accelerated. Acceleration by 2-4 times on uni-processor computers and by N times on multi-processor machines (N= number of CPU);
  • Interface change: a button hiding all layers at once is added;
  • New function: save layers to a template. A template is saved to a .psd file + parallax settings. When opening and saving in Photoshop the data are preserved;
  • ICC profiles are preserved if they were present in the source .psd. This function is useful for professionals, especially those working with CMYK. If you set an icc profile for a certain printing device when designing an image, it will be preserved for the image after encoding in 3DMasterKit.

3DMasterKit 3.2 – October 2007

What’s new:

  • Animation viewing mode (serial frame demonstration on the screen), the playback speed is controlled in the Project–>Settings menu item;
  • Rulers;
  • Guidelines: you can adjust the color in the ProjectàSettings menu item;
  • The numbers of the left and right frames is shown in the status bar, the overall frame number is shown on the list of source images.

Fixed:

  • Ctrl+left/right arrow key combination works even when the list of source frames is active.

  • Histogram adjustment can be applied to images with transparency;

  • You can Cancel/Redo the previous action when deleting/adding a new image;

3DMasterKit 2.7 – March 2007

What’s new:

  • Parameters are saved when the user quits the program and restored with the next program run;
  • The encoded image can be rotated in the program (Lenticular tab). The corresponding button is added to the tool bar;
  • If the alignment marks are checked, the alignment 1-pixel frame is formed round the image – it allows to position the lenticular screen even more precisely when applying it to the image;
  • The frame round the pitch test allows to define the lens pitch more precisely and easily;
  • Hot Keys for precise rotation/scaling are added;
  • Manual parallax setting dialog is changed – color parallax indication, the table can be filled in without switching to the entry fields. Real parallaxes are shown in the table in the auto mode;
  • Layers panel is extended up to 5 images;
  • User Guide is considerably updated.

Fixed:

  • File numbering when exporting;
  • Cancel/Redo commands in encoding tabs;
  • The “Left and Right image match” message that appeared when switching to the Encoding tab was removed;
  • Incorrect PSD file saving.

  • Ability to export to .bmp and .psd formats (RGB and CMYK);

What’s new:

  • The stereoscope card size limit is extended up to 9x18cm (3.5×7 inches). This format of stereo cards is used worldwide for stereoscopes of the model created by Oliver Holmes in 1861;
  • .mtp file extension (3DMasterKit project file) is registered in the operating system and can be opened in 3DMasterKit.

Fixed:

  • Histogram update bug in the Anaglyph tab.
