To start working with Triaxes DepthGate open an existing project or start a new one.


Start a new project with the New Project Wizard.

Menu: File >> New...

or use the Ctrl+N hot key

or push a tool button


DepthGate 3.x enables you to process two types of source video formats:

    • stereoscopic video
    • 2D+Depth video

Select the project type according to the source video format: Stereo or 2D+Depth:


The source channels of both project types (Stereo and 2D+Depth) can be stored in either one or two separate files.


For the Stereo Project, if both channels are in the same file, the next step is to specify the stereo format.

Specify the source files.

Mark the Interlaced checkbox if the source video is interlaced.

Mark the Detect scenes checkbox to launch the scene detection process for the source video.

Set the project name and directory.

The destination directory must have enough space to index and create copies of the source files.

To speed up the work it is recommended to use a SSD drive.

Mark the checkbox Create a subdirectory to save the specific files of the project, otherwise they are saved in the same folder as the project file.
